Since they don’t know for sure if I have an incompetent cervix, I go in every two weeks for a measurement. So far so good. My specialist and I have been through every possible scenario so I feel comfortable at this point that we have everything covered. I did have some trips I wanted to try and take this summer but to play it safe, I won’t go anywhere. Small price to pay for a healthy baby.
The u/s tech I had was totally cool and gave me tons of great 3D photos even though she was really only measuring my cervix. And to top it off, the baby was cooperating, which obviously helps to get those great photos. I hope I get her next time.
My only concern at this point is the minor placenta previa they noted yesterday. Yes I know it is too early and yes I know that 9 out of 10 cases at this stage correct themselves but I so often find myself in that 1% category that it does make me wonder. IF, preterm, IC, DOR, etc. Since I still have a few weeks to go before I need to start worrying about it, I won’t worry yet. But the thought is lingering and I’m not liking it.

Yes it is nice. On the upside of all those appointments, I get some good 3D shots for free (well kind of).
